I hope everyone has made it through July safely. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild month! Now that events have been set in motion, I’ll tell you a little bit about the last couple months to give you some context as to why I need to take a break in July.
So Covid hit as I was finishing up my MA in Boston. I moved home about a week before quarantine (March). Thankfully I made it home in time! I finished my degree from home (May), and we were still in quarantine. As many of you can relate, jobs disappeared overnight. A couple of crazy months go by, I’m still hunting for jobs that are few and far between. In June, both my parents and my husband’s parents announce they are moving. So, we needed to move too. Suddenly, everyone needed help packing and fixing up houses, and EVERY second of my time was eaten up by packing/fixing/buying/selling homes. Job hunting became minimal until a miracle happened, and I was offered a content writing job. Now we’re caught up to the present.
So we close on our house tomorrow, and my families are still going through the process of buying/selling homes. My hubby and I are both working and trying to settle into our new house. Life is just chaotic right now. I knew it would be, which is why I decided to take a break from blogging. I decided to break not only to dedicate my time to my family, but also because I knew I couldn’t give you quality content with my time constraints. So now I’m back…sort of.
I came back to update my Wilde About Books family, so you’d know what’s going on with me. And, also to update you on when Wilde About Books Blog will be up and running again. My plan is to be back by the end of August. I hate to spend this much time away from y’all, but as everyone else’s life right now, mine is just wild. With all of this said, I hope y’all will join me in the next month for new content.
If y’all need writing or editing help in the mean time, please feel free to email me or comment on this post.
Be safe. Be kind.
PS: Hope you like the pic of my dogs!
